Making Time to Make Money in Affiliate Marketing

It's late Sunday night and there are no blogs composed and published, there are no ezine articles written and submitted, there are no newsletter designed, and there is no time left this week to work on the online business. With Affiliate Marketing there is no product to develop, so that saves a ton of time, but there are still all of the business, marketing and advertising tasks to be done. Well, late on Sunday for me is any time after 6:00 PM. I guess I am getting old, or lazy, or maybe just tired.

Where does all of the time go? There are 168 hours in a week. You should really spend 8 hours sleeping a night. That's 56 hours taken up in the sack. You could consciously cut back to less time sleeping, but if you don't get enough sleep, you cannot function at a proper level to be creative and productive. 112 to go. The J.O.B. takes 40 hours a week. Down to 72. I spend about an hour at each meal, including preparation and cleaning up afterwards. 21 hours taken, with 51 left. If you commute, you spend about an hour a day doing so. That's another 5 hours. The average Canadian spends 22 hours a week watching TV. On one of the weekend nights you go out. That will take 5 hours. Exercise is a necessity for those of us that have sedentary lives. Let's say that consumes an hour a day. That leaves 12 hours to "do something with your life".

Why can't I find that 12 hours? Well, maybe you are not average and you spend much more than the 22 hours at the TV. Get your journal out and record a couple weeks. See if that time can be reduced or managed better. Maybe you spend more than the 45 hours commuting and at work. Do you get paid overtime? Are you a workaholic? Should you spend some more time away from the J.O.B.? Your call, but think about return on your investment. Would you rather spend that extra time on yourself or on your company? Maybe the time just disappears. Again, get out your journal, record a week of your time. See what you spend your time on. Have a good look at the analysis. Squeeze out some of the 'bad' time and put it towards your plan.

Why should I care about how I use my time? Actually, you don't have to care. If you don't want to improve, if you don't want to change, if you don't want better than you have now, you don't have to care about how you use your time. If you do want to change, improve or better your life, you need to care, and make effective use of your time. You need to change you use of your time, and given that time, you can do it. It's not easy. It takes time and energy to change habits

How do I make time to make money in Affiliate Marketing? Sorry, there's no magic formula to get you more time to put to your Affiliate Marketing system. You have to find out what you spend your time at now and change it. That's the only way you can do it. Nobody can do it for you. Record your time use in your journal. Analyze how you used your time. Change your habits, if necessary.
